Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected

June 7 2024 – At FlavorActiV, we are proud to join the global community in celebrating World Food Safety Day, a crucial occasion dedicated to promoting food safety awareness and advocating for the highest standards in Food and Beverage quality. Jointly facilitated by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), World Food Safety Day aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage food borne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, market access and sustainable development.

This year’s theme is ‘Food safety: prepare for the unexpected”. Food safety incidents can range from minor events to major international crises, whether it is a power outage at home, a food poisoning at a local restaurant, a voluntary recall of contaminated products by a manufacturer, an outbreak from imported products, or a natural disaster.
