The Role
This varied role will include a mixture of instrument support, routine sample analysis, new product development, instrument method development and human sensory work. Some background in commercial laboratory analysis is desired but not essential. Human sensory experience is also desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Essential
Some form of customer facing experience as FlavorActiV is a highly customer focused company. Good communication skills, good Microsoft Office and computer skills are also essential for the role. The role will involve routine travel internationally and domestically to customer sites, applicants must be willing to travel as part of their role.
This role will suit a laboratory scientist with some GC experience within a laboratory setting or those with commercial experience in supporting and maintaining instruments for a manufacturer. GC or other laboratory instrument operator experience is desirable.
Previous experience within the Food and Beverage industries (or aligned with human sensory, for example, cosmetics, personal products) will be welcomed but is not essential as FlavorActiV’s team are from diverse multi-industry backgrounds.
The role is based out of FlavorActiV main UK headquarters – due to its rural location and travel requirements a UK driving license and transportation is essential. Applicants will need the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Working hours are generally standard office hours Monday to Friday, but may fall outside of this depending on business requirements and travel.
Starting salary is from £35,000 p.a. with an initial holiday allocation of 22 days leave excluding UK bank holidays. We operate a profit-sharing scheme based on individual and company performance.
