GET TO KNOW Deepti S.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

If I could have any superpower, it would be the ability to understand what people are thinking. In a practical sense, this would help me better understand customer preferences and expectations, allowing me to deliver products and experiences that truly satisfy them.

What excited you most about your role at FlavorActiV?

FlavorActiV provides me with the opportunity to work with a diverse, multilingual global team, which broadens my perspective and enhances my cultural understanding. Contributing to the development of sensory skills in people across different markets is both meaningful and exciting to me.

Which sector do you most enjoy working in, and why?

I enjoy working in the Food and Beverages sector because food is an essential part of everyday life and has the unique ability to bring joy and satisfaction to people. Being part of an industry that directly impacts customers’ experiences and happiness is very fulfilling to me. I also appreciate the dynamic nature of this sector, where creativity, quality, and customer service all come together to create memorable experiences.

What's a common myth or misconception about sensory science you'd love to bust?

A common misconception is that product experience is only about taste. In reality, it’s a multisensory experience involving all five senses—smell, sight, touch, and sound all play a role in how consumers perceive and enjoy a product.
