We are delighted to let you know that we have won a 2007 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Innovation. This is in recognition of the success of our Taster Validation Scheme, a performance management tool for professional beer tasters which blends internet technologies with flavour encapsulation techniques.

Since its launch in 2002 with 31 breweries it has been adopted by major brewery groups all over the world. Today, it is used to monitor and improve the performance of more than 5,000 professional beer tasters in 450 breweries. Each year the system logs about 5 million data points relating to professional beer tasting skill.

FlavorActiV was one of only 40 recipients of such an award this year. To win, companies had to be able to demonstrate achievement in design, production, performance, marketing, distribution and after-sale support of their innovation.

Company Founder and Director of Business Innovation Dr Bill Simpson will attend a celebration for Queen's Award Winners in London on 24 April 07. This will be hosted by HRH The Duke of York. We will attend an official reception for award winners in Buckingham Palace later in the year.
