ASBC Meeting 2013

Boris Gadzov, Global Sensory Manager

Director of Global Sensory Management Dr Boris Gadzov, will be attending the American Society of Brewing Chemists Annual Meeting from the 19th to 22nd of May. The meeting this year will be taking place in Tucson,Arizona, US.

Boris will be presenting “Combining and Aligning Analytical Evaluation Improvements with Sensory in Global Beverages” to the attendees on the 19th of May. This presentation relates to the use of bringing together existing sensory and analytical evaluation methods for pharmacetical quality flavour standards.

FlavorActiV Judges International Cider Challenge 2013

Global Sensory Manager Evelyne Canterranne will be one of the judges for the International Cider Awards 2013.

There will be around 150 different ciders to judge this year and they will require some sensory evaluation in addition to reviewing the design and packaging.

The International cider awards will take place in London on Friday the 3rd of May 2013.

FlavorActiV’s flavour standards can also be used in ciders along with other beverage types, not just in beers.

Richard Boughton and Marie Pohler are attending this year’s US Craft Brewers Conference. Richard and Marie will be speaking about the importance of  sensory evaluations in producing quality beers. They will be speaking in Wednesday 27th at 11am and Thursday 28th at 1.30pm during the BFBi surgery session. 14th IBD Africa Section Convention

Evelyne Canterranne will be attending the 14th IBD Africa Section Convention in Accra, Ghana. The convention will run from the 3rd March until the 8th March.

During the convention Evelyne will be presenting a poster about in-process sensory evaluations for beverage quality.

Evelyne will also be taking part in the African Beer Awards as a member of the judging panel.

2012 China Brew and Beverage

Global Sensory Manager Tina Tian will be attending China Brew and Beverage. The 10th International Brew and Beverage processing technology and equipment exhibition for China will take place on the 19-22nd September in Beijing.

Tina will be giving a presentation about the importance of sensory evaluation and sensory taster management for beverage quality control.

2012 MBAA Rocky Mountain District Technical Summit

FlavorActiV’s Boris Gadzov is currently in Krakow, Poland, where he will open the 16th School of Fermentation Technology’s annual congress. The congress is supported by Krakow’s University of Agriculture and will be attended by over 150 delegates. Boris will be presenting a paper about global beer tasting opportunities – explaining the expansion and importance of sensory evaluation both in-house and right through the supply chain. Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America

On the 2nd of May,Marie Pohler will be flying to San Diego,CA to attend the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, where FlavorActiV will have a stand at the exhibition. The Conference and Expo is presented by the Brewers Association, which is a recognised leader in both the American and international brewing arena. The 3 day conference will serve both Brewpubs and Packaging Breweries who are invited to attend the informative and thought provoking seminars.

From the 25th to the 30th of March one of our Taster Management Advisers, Evelyne Canterrane, will be in Melbourne Australia to attend the 32nd IDB Asia Pacific Convention.  During this convention Evelyne will be giving a presentation about Global Beer Tasting Opportunities.  The IBD Institute focuses on educatuion, especially in the sciences of brewing, fermentation and distilling.
